Thailand is a pretty big country, so it can be tricky to decide where to go and what to see if you are visiting with limited time. To help you plan your perfect trip, we want to share with you a list of the top destinations in Thailand. After Nas lived here for 4 months, we know that these are the places you cannot miss!
Bangkok
The capital of Thailand. While many dislike this city for its busyness, it is its vibrant street life that makes it so unique. Here you can find yourself both, sorrounded by skyscrapers and visiting a sacred temple in the city canals.
Phuket
The largest island in Thailand offers some of the most popular beaches in the country sorrounded by cristaline clear sea. It is famous for its high-end hotels around the island and its busy nigh-life in the main resort town, Patong.
Phi Phi Islands
This island group is located a few hours away from Phuket and Krabi. It is famously known for its tropical coastline and views!
Please note that Maya Beach, in Koh Phi Phi Leh, is currently closed for four months due to environmental damage.
Krabi
Krabi is characterized by its forests, cliffs and numerous offshore islands such as Railay Beach, accessible only by boat from this province.
Ko Tao, Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan
These three neighbour islands all have a lot to offer. Ko Tao, with its coral reefs, whale sharks, rays and stunning sunsets; Ko Samiu, sorrounded by palm and cocunut beaches; and Ko Pha Ngan, well known for the worl-famous full moon party.
Chiang Mai
A completely different location in the north of Thailand is Chiang Mai, located in between the mountains. It is home to hundreds of Buddhist temples and is a perfect destination for the adventurous. Nearby is also located Chiang Rai and Pai, also famous locations in the North that offer different experiences such as hot springs, cultural centres and more temples to visit.
